Morella Corporation (ASX:1MC) announced an expansion of its Mt Edon Project in Western Australia following a comprehensive review of rock chip sampling data.

The analysis identified multiple new rubidium-bearing pegmatite targets, materially extending the project's exploration footprint beyond the previously known Sophie, Miles, and June sites.

High-grade results from the study included rubidium oxide values reaching as high as 2.84%, with over half of the 241 samples returning grades above 0.1%.

Managing Director James Brown noted that these findings, combined with recent drilling data, confirm Mt Edon as a "broad and highly prospective" hard-rock rubidium system.

The development strengthens Morella’s position in the critical minerals sector, providing a robust technical foundation for prioritised drilling as the company advances its portfolio in Western Australia.

At the time of reporting, Morella's share price was $0.048.
