Metallium (ASX:MTM) has commenced commissioning at its Texas Technology Campus, known as Gator Point, in Chambers County, Texas, after completing the first successful chlorine flash using its proprietary flash joule heating technology.
This milestone marks the first integrated operation of the FJH–chlorination process at the site and represents a critical step in de-risking Metallium’s US-based critical-metals recovery platform.
Commissioning activities are advancing on schedule and running alongside ongoing construction to support future expansion.
A three-crucible FJH demonstration line has also completed dry and wet commissioning, providing a fully operational platform for feedstock qualification, process optimisation, and partner testing.
The company has secured a key regulatory milestone, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Permit-by-Rule, enabling full commissioning and operations.
