Metal Hawk completes drilling at Leinster South Project
- Metal Hawk completed 1,642m of reverse circulation drilling at its 100% owned Leinster South Project in Western Australia.
- Assay results returned 4m at 12.5 grammes per tonne of gold, sending company shares up to $0.12.
- The exploration programme aims to establish a broader shear-hosted gold mineralisation system at the Numbat lode.
Metal Hawk (ASX:MHK) finished a 10-hole drilling programme at its Leinster South Project after receiving high-grade gold assay results.
The recent drilling returned a high-grade gold intersection of 4m at 12.5 grammes per tonne of gold from a depth of 43m.
"The new high-grade results from hole 26LSRC075 support our view that the Numbat lode is associated with a significant broader mineralised system at Thylacine and importantly, the intersection is interpreted to represent a new, shear-hosted style of mineralisation at Leinster South," said Metal Hawk Managing Director Will Belbin.
Laboratory assay results from the 1,642-metre drilling campaign are expected in approximately six weeks, with diamond drilling scheduled to begin in November.
Following the announcement, the Metal Hawk share price was up at $0.12.
In September 2026, the company raised $1.2 million in capital while initiating drilling at the high-grade target.
Metal Hawk continues to evaluate shear-hosted mineralisation across its Western Australian gold assets.
