Mercury NZ executive departure marks leadership change

Mercury NZ (ASX:MCY) announced COO of Generation Kevin Taylor will retire from his executive position at the end of the year.

The executive change follows Taylor's tenure managing the company's generation assets since joining the executive team in 2025.

"Kevin has brought deep operational and safety leadership experience to Mercury and has strengthened the way we operate and maintain our generation assets," said Mercury NZ CEO Stew Hamilton.

The company did not announce an immediate successor for the operating role, leaving transition details for future corporate disclosures.

Following the announcement, the Mercury NZ share price was unchanged at $5.54.

The leadership retirement arrives after the energy provider reported increased full-year hydro output in its recent annual financial results.
