Megaport launches $458M global AI cloud expansion
Megaport (ASX:MP1) has unveiled a major strategic expansion to establish a globally distributed AI inference cloud.
The company has secured four new AI infrastructure contracts, boasting a combined total contract value of approximately $458.9 million.
Megaport is committing roughly $369.5 million in capital expenditure, primarily targeting high-performance NVIDIA GPUs, network, and storage infrastructure.
A central pillar of this is the creation of an on-demand GPU pool backed by a $350 million investment.
The initiative will leverage Megaport's massive global footprint of over 1,100 connected data centres across 31 countries, offering enterprise customers highly flexible contracted and consumption-based commercial models.
The compute division’s pro forma annual recurring revenue has risen to $385.2 million, pushing the combined group pro forma ARR to $662.9 million.
Network ARR for April grew 25% year-on-year to $277.7 million, alongside an improved network net revenue retention of 113%.
Megaport announced a fully underwritten accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer to raise $827.3 million.
The capital injection reinforces a strong balance sheet that already features a pro forma liquidity of approximately $287.6 million as of Dec. 31, 2025.
Looking ahead, Megaport has tightened its FY26 revenue guidance range to between $307 million and $315 million while maintaining its original FY26 EBITDA and group capex guidance.
