Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK) increased preliminary gold output to 7,237 ounces for the September quarter at the Murchison Gold Project.

The quarterly production rose from 6,424 ounces in the June quarter as processing throughput reached 150,000 tonnes.

"The processing plant achieved its targeted 600ktpa annualised throughput rate, and gold production increased accordingly," said Meeka Metals Managing Director and CEO Tim Davidson.

The processing operations achieved an average metallurgical recovery rate of 95% while processing 36,000 tonnes of high-grade underground ore, 20,000 tonnes of low-grade development ore, and 94,000 tonnes of open pit stockpiles.

The company expanded its cash holdings to $51 million by Sept. 30, up from $38 million reported on June 30.

Following the announcement, the Meeka Metals share price was unchanged at $0.088.

Meeka Metals ceased open pit mining in July 2026 to focus on underground development.

The company commenced development of its second underground mine at Turnberry after delivering 39,500 tonnes of ore at 3.9 g/t gold from the Andy Well operation.
