Mandrake Resources secures 3,200m Berinka drilling contract

Mandrake Resources (ASX:MAN) signed a contract for a 3,200-metre drilling programme at its Berinka Gold-Copper Project.

The project is located within the Pine Creek Orogen, which contains over 20 million ounces of gold.

Geodrill Australia will conduct the reverse circulation drilling programme to target gold and copper mineralisation.

Drilling is scheduled to begin in August after the approval of an environmental mining licence.

Following the announcement, the Mandrake Resources share price was up at $0.022.

The region has experienced increased activity with three new processing plants permitted in the last 18 months.

Previous exploration at the asset confirmed structural mineralisation, including an intersection of 6m at 2.3g/t gold.
