Key points

  • Mamba Exploration has launched its maiden reverse circulation drilling programme at the 70% owned Meeka East Gold Project.
  • The exploration initiative will cover up to 50 holes across three distinct gold targets in Western Australia.
  • Programme approvals align with advanced discussions for diamond drilling at the adjacent Copper Hills Project scheduled for early 2027.

Mamba Exploration (ASX:M24) has commenced a maiden reverse circulation drilling programme of up to 50 holes across 6,000m at its Meeka East Gold Project in Western Australia.

The programme marks the initial drill test across more than 20km of gold-in-soil anomalies that had previously gone untested beneath surface cover.

Mamba Executive Director Matt Freedman said, “The first holes are going into 140 Foot Well, with undrilled undercover targets, in a district that hosts Bluebird, Paddy’s Flat and Side Well.”

Topdrill will conduct the drilling programme in two campaigns expected to wrap up by mid-December 2026, supported by up to $90,000 in co-funding from Western Australia's exploration incentive scheme.

Following the announcement, the Mamba Exploration share price was unchanged at $0.05.

The company is simultaneously advancing site preparations and contractor negotiations for a 2,000-metre diamond drilling programme at its nearby Copper Hills Project, targeting a start date in the first quarter of 2027.

Mamba Exploration recently expanded its regional presence after securing a $6 million capital placement and entering an earn-in agreement to acquire up to an 80% interest in the neighbouring Poison Hills tenement.
