Magnum Mining and Exploration (ASX:MGU) has completed an ultra-high resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric survey at its Parker Gold and La Cienega Copper-Gold projects in Arizona, located at the intersection of the Walker Trend and Colorado River Extension Zone, both renowned for gold, copper, and rare earth element exploration.

The helicopter-based survey was flown at 40m line spacing and 20m altitude, delivering data comparable to ground surveys and superior to drone surveys, while simultaneously capturing radiometric information.

Preliminary images show structural and geological details not evident in existing maps, with final processed data expected within four weeks following the Christmas/New Year period.

Building on the survey, Magnum will undertake a detailed surface sampling program at Parker, including systematic soil sampling along 100m-spaced lines and targeted rock-chip sampling of previously identified mineralised structures and alteration zones.

Soil samples will be screened in the field using portable XRF, with only samples exceeding thresholds sent for laboratory analysis.

The Parker Gold and La Cienega Projects host a Mississippi Valley Type mineralised system with potential links to IOCG-style copper-gold mineralisation.

Historical results at Parker include surface rock samples returning up to 83.87 g/t gold, 359 g/t silver, 8.37% copper, and 16.1% lead, including visible gold, while the Eagle’s Nest Mine historically recorded copper grades up to 4.7% and gold concentrations of 6–7 g/t.

Magnum plans to integrate geophysical data with geological mapping and surface geochemistry to refine drill targets, with the ultimate goal of designing a follow-up drilling campaign to advance exploration across these highly prospective Walker Trend projects.
