
Macro Metals acquires Yandi South Project for $6.5M

Macro Metals (ASX:M4M) has agreed to buy the Yandi South Project for $6.5 million to boost its iron ore assets.
The asset adds a historical resource of 4.28 million tonnes, compared to the company's previous focus on smaller exploration targets.
The three acquired exploration licences cover 56km2 near established operations run by BHP (ASX:BHP) and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO)
Initial laboratory testing confirmed the recovery of high-grade magnetite concentrate reaching up to 69% iron.
Following the announcement, the Macro Metals share price was unchanged at $0.006.
The company continues to seek iron ore and manganese asset opportunities across Western Australia.
This follows a recent mining services agreement with Renegade Exploration (ASX:RNX) and a new contract for its mining subsidiary.
