Maas Group (ASX:MGH) has announced that its wholly owned electrical infrastructure subsidiary, JLE Group, has secured an approximately $200 million agreement with sovereign AI factory developer Firmus Technologies to deliver turnkey modular electrical infrastructure for Firmus' first 100MW Launceston AI Factory cluster.
Under the deal, JLE will supply, deliver, and install modular "PowerCube" solutions alongside associated high-voltage electrical infrastructure, with works expected to progress throughout 2026.
The project will be executed by JLE's Australian-based engineering, project management, and delivery teams, supporting Firmus’ broader Project Southgate initiative—a strategic roadmap for critical sovereign AI infrastructure across Australia.
The agreement marks a major milestone for Maas Group and JLE, highlighting their capacity to deliver large-scale, complex electrical infrastructure for next-generation data centres and AI workloads.
Beyond the initial 100MW cluster, Maas Group and JLE are collaborating with Firmus on a potential staged expansion of over 500MW in Tasmania, targeted for completion by the end of 2028, subject to approvals and final investment decisions.
Commenting on the deal, Maas Group CEO Wes Maas said, "This agreement is a strong endorsement of JLE's technical capability and positions Maas Group as a key partner in the development of next-generation AI and data infrastructure in Australia."
Maas Group's FY26 EBITDA guidance of $240 million to $275 million remains unchanged, with greater visibility on earnings allocation between FY26 and FY27 to be provided as project delivery progresses.
At the time of reporting, Maas Group's share price was $4.79.
