Lumos Diagnostics (ASX:LDX) has transitioned from developer to manufacturer for Micro-Pak, announcing a new three-year contract manufacturing agreement for the innovative Micro-Pak Mold Analyser system.

The follow-on contract, managed by the Lumos Commercial Services Division, marks a milestone in the commercialisation of a technology designed to revolutionise moisture and mould prevention across global supply chains.

Alongside the agreement, Lumos confirmed the receipt of an initial purchase order valued at US$250,000, signalling immediate momentum for the partnership.

The Mold Analyzer system represents a breakthrough in diagnostic hardware, comprising a proprietary rapid test cassette, a custom digital camera reader, and a dedicated mobile application.

Engineered by Lumos, the system is the first of its kind capable of detecting 56 distinct mould species, offering broad-spectrum coverage for both professional industrial environments and home consumer use.

By facilitating rapid on-site detection, the technology significantly reduces the turnaround times typically associated with traditional laboratory-based analysis.

For manufacturers, the integration of the Lumos digital reader ensures full traceability and consistent testing standards from the factory floor to the end consumer.

Alternatively, the system can be configured as a stand-alone visual test, providing a low-cost entry point for domestic mould monitoring.

The partnership leverages Micro-Pak’s market leadership in product protection and Lumos’s expertise in point-of-care diagnostics.

At the time of reporting, Lumos Diagnostics’ share price was $0.21.
