  • Litchfield Minerals will launch three ground geophysical surveys next month to test a new exploration framework in the Northern Territory.
  • The exploration programme is supported by up to $100,000 in co-funding from the Northern Territory Geological Survey.
  • The upcoming surveys aim to validate the company's geological model, reduce exploration risk, and refine targets for future drilling.

Litchfield Minerals (ASX:LMS) will launch three ground geophysical surveys next month to test a new belt-scale mineral systems framework across its Northern Territory portfolio.

This programme follows previous exploration in the Harts Range corridor that identified a conductivity anomaly at a depth of approximately 2.5km.

“The completion of our mineral systems framework marked an important milestone for Litchfield—this next phase is about testing that model in the field and using the results to progressively refine our exploration targets across Harts Range and Silver Valley,” said Litchfield Minerals Managing Director Matthew Pustahya.

The upcoming field operations include a combined magnetotelluric and gravity survey near the Oonagalabi project, alongside an induced polarisation survey at the Silver Valley project where rock chip sampling previously returned assays up to 378 grammes per tonne of silver.

The company stated that the surveys represent the first field-based tests of a framework developed through its participation in the BHP Xplor Programme.

Following the announcement, the Litchfield Minerals share price was down at $0.04.

Planetary Geophysics and Australian Geophysical Services have been engaged to conduct the surveys, with the first results expected from Silver Valley by the end of July.
