Lincoln Minerals (ASX:LML) has indentified historic high-grade copper and gold targets at its Southern Eyre Project, located 130km south of the Minbrie Project in South Australia.
A review of historical exploration data highlighted rock chip samples containing up to 11.1% Cu and 0.6g/t Au (TB-8) and 9.65% Cu and 0.1g/t Au (TB-33), collected during 1980s work by Helix Resources NL.
The Southern Eyre area, largely underexplored for copper and base metals over the past 25 years, shows potential for Minbrie-style mineralisation along the Middleback Group stratigraphy, the Kalinjala Shear Zone, and near Donington Granite margins.
Lincoln’s CEO Chris Wilcox said the findings reinforce the copper prospectivity of the Eyre Peninsula and present opportunities to expand the Company’s focus on copper discovery in South Australia.
