Li-S Energy signs defence battery partner agreement

Li-S Energy (ASX:LIS) executed a collaboration agreement with defence supplier EPE Trusted to Protect to expand its battery sales network across global security markets.

The agreement follows recent testing shipments where the business delivered initial battery cells to the US Army DEVCOM division.

Dr Lee Finniear, Managing Director of Li-S Energy, said, "In one agreement, we gain a pathway to EPE’s defence and security customers across Australia, the Indo-Pacific, North America, Europe and the UK and to the 60+ international OEMs and Australian primes building the platforms where LIS cells can deliver real capability uplift."

Under the terms of the deal, the partner network spans 60 international original equipment manufacturers and regional defence primes.

Following the announcement, the Li-S Energy share price was unchanged at $0.16.

EPE Trusted to Protect recently received a $3.1 million grant from Queensland state development funds to scale up local manufacturing of battery-powered drones.
