Legend Mining (ASX:LEG) has commenced a maiden 50-hole aircore drilling programme across approximately 2,500m at the Pinnacle Well Project near Leonora.
The exploration campaign represents the first drilling work completed at the project location in 20 years.
"These will be the first drill holes at the project since 2006 and will focus on a compelling multi-feature IP anomaly at Pyrophyllite Hill," said Legend Mining Executive Chair Mark Wilson.
The programme covers a 1-kilometre by 500-metre area to test a 600-metre chargeable-resistivity anomaly along with an extensive alteration zone.
The maiden aircore drilling effort is scheduled to take between 10 and 15 days to complete.
Following the announcement, the Legend Mining share price was unchanged at $0.008.
Legend Mining acquired a 100% interest in key exploration licences for the 128-square-kilometre Pinnacle Well Project during 2025.
The company also holds exploration assets targeting nickel-copper mineralisation at its Rockford Project in the Fraser Range region.
