Koba Resources (ASX:KOB) has mobilised a 2,500-metre drilling programme at its high-grade Everest prospect, situated within the expansive Yarramba Uranium Project in South Australia.
The initiative serves as the primary follow-up to the significant mineralisation discovered by the company in 2025.
Initial wide-spaced drilling across a four-kilometre strike has already yielded results, including high-grade intercepts surpassing 1,000 ppm eU₃O₈.
Highlights from previous assays include 0.4m at 1,001ppm eU₃O₈ and 0.3m at 1,012ppm eU₃O₈, underscoring the site's potential.
Managing Director and CEO Ben Vallerine expressed optimism regarding the programme, noting that the mineralisation remains open along strike.
The current phase will focus on both infill and extensional targets to better define the ore body's scale.
The prospect is one of four high-grade discoveries made at Yarramba since Koba acquired the project in early 2024.
The exploration is particularly timely given the robust global uranium market, with spot prices maintaining a strong position above US$80/lb throughout 2026.
With over 250km of under-explored paleochannels and 5,000 km² of tenure, the Yarramba Project represents a substantial opportunity for further discovery in a region increasingly vital to secure, clean energy.
