Koba Resources (ASX:KOB) has commenced its maiden 3,000m drill programme at the Mt Garnet Tin-Tungsten Project in North Queensland.
The drill programme follows the recent identification of strong induced polarisation chargeability anomalies at the Stannex prospect.
The Stannex Prospect targets include a 2km by 0.5km tin-in-soil anomaly with rock chip samples up to 21.3% tin.
Drilling will also target the historic Gilmore Mine, which previously produced 26,169 tonnes at 7.3% tin.
Following the announcement, the Koba Resources share price was unchanged at $0.032.
The company stated that the project demonstrates scale potential across the mineralised system to be drill tested.
Koba Resources continues to advance its mineral exploration portfolio after shareholders approved all capital resolutions at its recent general meeting.
