Kingfisher Mining (ASX:KFM) has mobilised a reverse circulation drilling rig to its Copper Blow Copper-Gold Project near Broken Hill, New South Wales.

This follows an initial programme in late 2025 which confirmed high-grade mineralisation across a 600-metre strike length, yielding intercepts such as 13m @ 1.2% Cu and 7m @ 2.11% Cu.

The current phase of drilling is designed to test extensions of the mineralised lodes along strike and down-plunge within the North and South Zones.

The efforts aim to bolster geological confidence as the company accelerates towards a maiden mineral resource estimate.

Managing Director Chris Bittar noted that the programme is crucial for the company’s broader development strategy, particularly following a landmark agreement with Broken Hill Mines that provides a potential pathway for processing ore using existing regional infrastructure.

Despite minor delays earlier this year due to weather and regulatory approvals, operations are now in full swing.

Beyond the immediate focus at Copper Blow, which sits within a prominent 4km-long magnetic anomaly, Kingfisher is preparing for a busy year across its New South Wales portfolio.

Future targets include the Allendale lead-zinc-silver project and the Wellington copper-gold project in the Macquarie Arc.

At the time of reporting, Kingfisher Mining's share price was $0.085.
