  • Kalgoorlie Gold Mining finished a planned aircore drilling programme totalling 7,212m across 225 holes at the Laverton Tectonic Zone Flexure target.
  • The programme cost roughly two-thirds of the originally anticipated budget because shallow drilling depths averaged 32m.
  • The company aims to resolve geological observations and test new regional gold targets after laboratory assay results return over the next 6 weeks.

Kalgoorlie Gold Mining (ASX:KAL) completed its aircore drilling campaign at the Flexure target located southeast of the Pinjin gold deposits.

Total metreage came in materially lower than budget because the drilling depths averaged 32m instead of initial projections.

"The KalGold team safely completed our largest single aircore drill programme to date. This will be resolved when assay results are returned from the laboratory over the next 6 weeks," said Kalgoorlie Gold Mining Managing Director and CEO Dr Matt Painter.

The reduced drilling depth means the company achieved its planned first-pass exploration coverage at approximately two-thirds of the originally budgeted cost.

The company plans to run further aircore drilling campaigns starting in late September or early October 2026 to focus on the Rebecca sequence.

Following the announcement, the Kalgoorlie Gold Mining share price was down at $0.021.

The business operates as a mineral exploration entity focused on discovering and developing gold resources across Western Australia.
