Jindalee Lithium (ASX:JLL) has commenced an initial Phase 1 infill and environmental drilling programme at its McDermitt Lithium Project in southeast Oregon.
The active drilling follows approval of the exploration plan of operations received from the US Bureau of Land Management on Sept. 15.
Jindaleeās Managing Director and CEO Ian Rodger commented, "This programme will provide critical data to feed into the McDermitt feasibility study, and we look forward to providing further updates as results are received."
The current campaign targets up to 100 drill sites out of a total staged 168-site programme, with first analytical results anticipated in early 2027.
Following the announcement, the Jindalee Lithium share price was unchanged at $0.41.
The McDermitt Project stands as one of the largest lithium resources in the United States, spanning significant Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resource classifications.
Operations on site currently deploy both reverse circulation and diamond drill rigs to obtain vital hydrogeological, geotechnical, and metallurgical data sets.
