Radio star Jacqueline ‘Jackie O’ Henderson has launched a massive $82.3 million legal battle against ARN Media (ASX:ARN), filing proceedings in the Federal Court against the licence holder for KIIS 1065 Sydney.

The claim alleges that the termination of Henderson’s contract constituted both a repudiation of her agreement and "adverse action" under the Fair Work Act 2009.

Furthermore, the broadcaster is accused of engaging in misleading and deceptive conduct regarding an ASX announcement made on March 3.

While Henderson is seeking tens of millions in compensation and penalties, ARN Media has vowed to defend the suit, stating it cannot yet determine the potential financial impact.

At the time of reporting, ARN Media's share price was $0.24.
