Iondrive (ASX:ION) announced leadership transition as it moves from technology development to the commercial execution and scale-up of its proprietary IONSolv platform.
Lewis Utting has been appointed CEO, effective immediately, following his tenure as Commercial Director since November 2024.
Utting brings extensive experience in scaling advanced materials and critical-minerals technologies, having previously led ASX-listed SciDev from an early-stage business to a market capitalisation of around $120 million, while establishing a platform generating over $100 million in annualised revenue.
The board said his appointment aligns with Iondrive’s focus on modular deployment, strategic partnerships, and market entry, providing leadership continuity during a critical phase of pilot commissioning and commercial engagement.
Dr Ebbe Dommisse, who has led Iondrive through its development phase, will continue to support project delivery and operational scale-up over the next three months, after which he will provide ongoing support as required.
In addition, Dr Duncan Turner has joined the board as a non-executive director, bringing deep expertise in extractive metallurgy and process commercialisation.
He replaces Dr Jack Hamilton, who is stepping down following completion of transition arrangements.
