·       Leslie Chong has stepped down as CEO of Imugene after nearly 11 years.

·       The company share price traded unchanged at $0.09 following the executive departure announcement.

·       Imugene has initiated an immediate search process to select a new CEO.

Imugene (ASX:IMU) CEO Leslie Chong has stepped down after nearly 11 years of service.

The executive departure follows an $11.1 million capital raise completed earlier in July.

"I do so with confidence in Imugene's future," said Imugene CEO Leslie Chong.

The board started an immediate search process for new leadership while Chong assisted during the transition.

Following the announcement, the Imugene share price was unchanged at $0.09.

The company continues clinical development of its lead Azer-cel cell therapy programme for cancer treatments.

Imugene previously expanded its immuno-oncology portfolio through clinical trials across multiple global research sites.
