Iluka Resources (ASX:ILU) recorded a net loss after tax of $24 million for the half-year period ended June 30 alongside total mineral sands revenue of $433 million.
The result contrasts with the prior corresponding period in 2025 when the company posted a net profit after tax of $92 million and mineral sands revenue of $558 million.
“External developments continue to reinforce the strategic rationale for our rare earths diversification, with Eneabba’s commissioning in 2027 well timed in the context of growing demand and the imperative of diversified supply,” the company stated.

During the period, mineral sands operating cash flow rose to $247 million while net debt for the mineral sands segment decreased to $273 million.

The company operates as a major Australian raw materials business focused on the exploration, mining, processing, and marketing of mineral sands and rare earth products.
