Iltani Resources extends Orient West silver mineralisation
- Iltani Resources has returned additional high-grade silver-indium mineralisation from its drilling programme at the Orient Project in Queensland.
- The company's shares increased 7.50% to $0.43 following the release of the latest exploration data.
- The ongoing drilling programme is designed to support a future resource category upgrade and provide information for initial project scoping studies.
Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has returned additional high-grade silver-indium mineralisation from an ongoing reverse circulation drilling programme at its Orient project near Herberton in North Queensland.
The latest assay results from the Orient West deposit include a peak intersection of 1 metre at 192 grammes per tonne silver, 925 grammes per tonne indium, 1.8% lead, and 13.9% zinc from a depth of 104 metres.
“With an increasing focus on the critical role of indium in high-technology applications, it is good to see the drilling continue to intersect high-grade massive sulphide indium-rich vein systems,” said Iltani Resources Managing Director Donald Garner.
The mineral resource activities at the site have now reached 65 completed drill holes totalling 12,297m out of an initially planned 110-hole exploration programme across the Orient West and Orient East areas.
Following the announcement, the Iltani Resources share price was up at $0.43.
The broader exploration project targets an area with identified historical workings and outcropping where the company has tracked 900m of known mineralisation along a north-east trend.
The business holds 367km2 of exploration ground in the Herberton region, where the company is deploying two reverse circulation drilling rigs to test multiple internal zones and regional targets.
