HITIQ raises $1.4m in discounted placement
- HITIQ (ASX:HIQ) has secured A$1.4 million via a two‑tranche placement at A$0.007 per share with free attaching options
- The raise will add 200 million new shares and create multiple layers of options out to 2029, increasing potential future dilution
- HITIQ (ASX:HIQ) says funds will bolster working capital and support its FY27 growth plan for PROTEQT concussion management technology
HITIQ (ASX:HIQ) has received firm commitments from professional and sophisticated investors to raise A$1.4 million before costs through a two‑tranche private placement of 200,000,000 new shares at A$0.007 per share, with one free unlisted option attached to each placement share.
The placement follows a trading halt on 25 June 2026 and comes as HITIQ seeks to strengthen its balance sheet ahead of its FY27 operating plan, after earlier signalling a need to fund expansion, commercialisation and product development across sports, clinical and research markets.
“We are raising capital to support growth initiatives including expansion, commercialisation and ongoing development activities in line with our FY27 operating plan,” said HITIQ.
Each new option will be exercisable at A$0.007 and expire on 30 June 2027, and upon exercise will deliver one fully paid ordinary share plus one piggyback option at no cost, with each piggyback option also exercisable at A$0.007 and expiring on 30 June 2029, subject to shareholder approval under ASX Listing Rule 7.1.
Tranche 1 will see 180,000,000 shares issued under HITIQ’s existing placement capacity (105,000,000 under Listing Rule 7.1 and 75,000,000 under 7.1A) to raise A$1.26 million, while Tranche 2, subject to shareholder approval, will add about 20,000,000 shares for a further A$140,000, with SP Corporate Advisory and Erity Capital acting as joint lead managers and receiving options equal to 30% of the New Options issued.
HITIQ says proceeds will be used to support its PROTEQT concussion management solution, co‑developed with Shock Doctor, which uses instrumented mouthguards and an analytics platform to provide real‑time head impact data for athlete safety and data‑driven monitoring in sport and clinical settings.
At the time of reporting the HITIQ (ASX:HIQ) share price was AUD 0.006.
