  • The exploration company also proposes changing its stock symbol from HTM to BYD.
  • Management stated that the proposed name better reflects its current operational focus on gold projects.

High-Tech Metals (ASX:HTM) announced plans to change its corporate name to Beyond Discovery to reflect its strategic pivot towards gold exploration.

The announcement comes following a major board reconstitution completed by the explorer on Oct. 7.

The company stated that the name 'Beyond Discovery' better represents its current gold focus and strategic direction than its existing name.

To implement the change, the company requires approval from at least 75% of shareholder votes cast at its Annual General Meeting scheduled for Nov. 27.

The company stated that the proposed rebrand will not alter its underlying projects, operations, or capital structure.

Following the announcement, the High-Tech Metals share price was unchanged at $0.027.

The explorer currently holds the Mt Fisher and Mt Eureka Gold Projects located in Western Australia's Northern Goldfields.

The rebrand follows recent executive additions, including the appointments of Cristian Moreno Gomez and Patrick Burke as directors.
