Heavy Rare Earths (ASX:HRE) has commenced a formal strategic review of its wholly owned Cowalinya Rare Earth Project in Western Australia to determine future corporate pathways for the mineral asset.
The exploration group initiated the evaluation process following recent shifts in the broader critical minerals sector and commodity pricing environments.
The company stated that the strategic review will focus on maximising value from the asset while conserving capital for its wider exploration portfolio.
Following the announcement, the Heavy Rare Earths share price was down at $0.027.
The Perth-based mineral firm also recently advanced operational planning for a 2,500-metre maiden drilling programme at its Prospect Hill tin project in South Australia.
The corporate strategy includes maintaining diverse exploration holdings across multiple commodities, including rare earths, tin, and uranium assets.
