Hawk Resources (ASX:HWK) secured all government approvals to begin exploration activities at the Olympus Scandium Project in Western Australia.
The approval from the WA Minister for Mines follows prior clearances, including a mining entry permit, an agreement for mineral exploration, and a cultural heritage survey.
Initial exploration at Olympus will commence in September across an 80-square-kilometre priority area focusing on soil and rock sampling.
The business aims to fast-track a rotary air blast drilling programme after identifying soil anomalies exceeding 500 parts per million of scandium across a 7km by 4km area.
Following the announcement, the Hawk Resources share price was up at $0.035.
The Olympus asset is situated within the West Musgrave region of Western Australia.
In addition to its Western Australian mineral exploration projects, Hawk Resources holds active copper, gold, and lithium exploration assets across the United States and Brazil.
