Greg Horan appointed CEO of Australian Clinical Labs
Australian Clinical Labs (ASX:ACL) appointed Greg Horan as its new Group CEO and executive director.
Horan is scheduled to join the company on June 1 as group CEO-elect, with his full executive role taking effect on Aug. 31.
The transition occurs as the current group CEO and executive director, Melinda McGrath, prepares to step down from her position after a highly successful ten-year tenure.
Horan joins ACL with an extensive professional background, having most recently served as the CEO of Healthscope.
In that capacity, he managed the business through significant post-pandemic industry changes, directing operations across 43 hospitals with 20,000 employees and 5,000 visiting medical officers.
His 25-year career began in the mining sector before transitioning into private equity with Brookfield Capital Partners, establishing a strong reputation for operational execution, accountability, and team empowerment.
ACL Board Chair Stephen Roche welcomed the appointment, emphasising that Mr Horan’s deep experience in managing complex healthcare organisations positions him perfectly to guide the company through its next phase of strategic growth.
Outgoing CEO Melinda McGrath also expressed confidence in his leadership, praising his commercial acumen.
Horan noted that he looks forward to collaborating with the executive team to sustain ACL's strong clinical presence and market-leading momentum across Australia's healthcare landscape.
