Frontier Energy (ASX:FHE) finalised all primary fixed-price contracts to build Stage 1 of the Waroona Renewable Energy Project in Western Australia.
The agreement covers a 132-megawatt solar facility paired with an 81.5-megawatt battery system to de-risk project delivery against market expectations.
"We have now secured the full suite of contracts required to deliver Stage One at our Waroona Project and position the company as Western Australia’s largest solar-BESS hybrid power producer," said Frontier Energy Executive Chairman Jamie Cullen.
The business confirmed that the fixed-price agreements make up the majority of the $310 million budget, which remains fully funded alongside an additional $22 million contingency.
Following the announcement, the Frontier Energy share price was unchanged at $0.21.
The development features a solar array paired with a 6.9-hour battery storage system designed to feed electricity directly into the local grid network.
Frontier holds 830 hectares of freehold land in the region, with Stage 1 occupying only 300 hectares to support potential future expansions.
