
Frasers extends Accent takeover offer to January 2027

Frasers Group extended its all-cash takeover bid for Accent Group (ASX:AX1) on Friday, prolonging the closing deadline to Jan. 29, 2027.
The decision shifts the closing date from the previous 30 September schedule, providing extra time for the execution of the A$0.65 per share offer.
"Frasers Group PLC announces a notice of extension regarding its offer for Accent Group," stated the official exchange announcement.
The transaction values the remaining shares in the targeted business at approximately $316 million, with Frasers already holding a 22.9% stake.
Frasers stated that the transaction is expected to strengthen its international footprint across key retail segments.
Following the announcement the Accent Group share price was unchanged at $0.68.
The London-based firm operates major global brands such as Sports Direct, while Accent continues to manage extensive retail distribution networks across Australia and New Zealand.
