Forrestania Resources (ASX:FRS) has transitioned from a gold explorer to a producer following the first delivery of ore to Westgold Resources’ Higginsville processing hub.

The milestone, achieved under a strategic ore purchase agreement, marks the commencement of mining and haulage from Forrestania’s wholly owned gold deposits.

While utilising Westgold’s infrastructure for immediate production, the company is concurrently refurbishing its Lake Johnston facility to establish independent, stand-alone gold production in Western Australia's Goldfields.

Chairman David Geraghty praised the rapid transition, noting that this first step is part of a broader ambition to substantially grow the company’s production profile and footprint.

At the time of reporting, Forrestania Resources' share price was $0.48.
