FMR Resources acquires La Lorena Project
FMR Resources (ASX:FMR) announced the acquisition of the La Lorena Project, a venture that underscores the company's focus on high-value base and precious metals.
The project is described as a highly prospective, undrilled, and mineralised copper-gold corridor.
The acquisition marks a pivotal chapter for the South Perth-based explorer, as it secures a landholding that has long been identified for its untapped geological potential but has lacked the modern systematic exploration required to unlock its value.
The corridor is situated within a region known for robust mineralisation, and early indicators suggest the presence of substantial copper and gold systems.
Managing Director Oliver Kiddie expressed strong confidence in the asset, noting that the undrilled nature of the site provides a rare "blank canvas" opportunity in a proven mining district.
By leveraging existing data and implementing aggressive new drilling programmes, the company aims to rapidly define the scale of the mineralisation.
At the time of reporting, FMR Resources’ share price was $0.26.
