  • The transaction supports the company's expansion in Southeast Asia through localised, decentralised water management systems.

Water technology provider Fluence (ASX:FLC) has secured two contracts valued at approximately US$3.7 million to design and supply seawater desalination plants in Vietnam.

The agreements represent the fourth and fifth contracts the business has executed with regional partner SWater Kankyo Corporation over the past 12 months.

"This project demonstrates how advanced water treatment technology can help our customers secure the water needed for their operations while supporting broader water conservation goals during periods of tight supply," said Fluence CEO and Managing Director Ben Fash.

The automated facilities are designed to achieve a feedwater recovery rate greater than 45%, and the company stated that the infrastructure is expected to be fully operational before the end of 2026.

Following the announcement, the Fluence share price was up at $0.075.

The organisation continues to focus its global growth strategy on delivering decentralised, quick-to-deploy water treatment solutions to coastal markets facing supply constraints.

These newly contracted systems will provide a localised supply capable of producing up to 7,500 cubic metres of high-quality potable water daily on Phu Quoc Island.
