FirstWave files patent application for network monitoring system

FirstWave Cloud Technology (ASX:FCT) has submitted a provisional patent application with IP Australia for an artificial intelligence platform designed to detect network faults and analyse root causes.
The filing follows a 34% increase in the company's network monitoring revenue to $6.9 million for the 2026 financial year.
FirstWave‘s CEO Danny Maher said, “The core strength of our NMIS platform is its ability to collect, manage and present enormous amounts of data from a wide range of technologies.”
The software uses large language models and multi-agent artificial intelligence to automate network diagnostics for enterprise clients.
FirstWave developed the underlying technology through a government-backed collaboration with the University of the Sunshine Coast and CSIRO.
Following the announcement, the FirstWave Cloud Technology share price was unchanged at $0.008.
The system integrates with existing platforms to serve clients, including John Deere and Telmex.
FirstWave serves as the sole applicant and retains full ownership of the intellectual property covered under application number 2026907532.
