FIN Resources (ASX:FIN) has transitioned from technical review to active field exploration, announcing the commencement of its maiden drilling program at the Cabin Lake Gold Project in Canada’s Northwest Territories.

Following the mobilisation of equipment and the completion of a fully operational base camp, the company's drill rig is now targeting high-priority mineralised zones within the prospective Bugow Iron Formation.

The milestone marks a significant step for the company as it seeks to validate a "highly prospective gold system" identified through recent geological reinterpretation.

The current exploration strategy centres on a 1,500-metre diamond drilling program designed to follow up on historically high-grade intercepts.

Previous results from the site have shown mineralisation, including standout figures such as 31.4m at 15.2 g/t Au and 19.9m at 8.5 g/t Au.

FIN Resources aims to systematically test the priority zones and refine its understanding of the project's potential.

Director Jason Bontempo expressed optimism regarding the transition, noting that the team is eager to update shareholders as assay results become available.

At the time of reporting, FIN Resources’ share price was $0.013.
