EV Resources hits 81% antimony recovery rate
- EV Resources confirmed that flotation test work on ore from the Chinantla project delivered an 81.1% antimony recovery rate.
- The announcement follows recent operational milestones at the Tecomatlán processing plant as the company evaluates regional critical mineral projects.
- The company stated that this flotation-led strategy is expected to compress the overall production pathway timeline to less than 12 months.
EV Resources (ASX:EVR) confirmed that flotation test work achieved an 81.1% antimony recovery rate on third-party ore.
The processing route outperformed gravity concentration alone, which recovered 29.25% antimony during the comparative testing.
“Achieving around 81% antimony recovery and confirming we can produce a commercial-grade concentrate, with a possible optimisation path to 60% antimony, from third-party ore using conventional, well-understood flotation technology gives us real confidence in our hub-and-spoke model,” said EV Resources Managing Director Mike Brown.
The business reported that the integration of the flotation circuit is estimated to require minimal additional capital expenditure.
Following the announcement, the EV Resources share price was unchanged at $0.01.
The explorer recently executed multiple non-binding agreements to supply more than 50% of the Tecomatlán plant processing capacity.
