Etherstack secures initial international defence technology deal

• Etherstack secured its first international supply contract for its NATO Narrowband Waveform technology.
• The contract remains under the material threshold and is for technical evaluation purposes only.
• Etherstack aims to convert early evaluation interest into material supply agreements with global defence partners.

Etherstack (ASX:ESK) signed an initial international supply contract via its Australian subsidiary, Etherstack, to deliver NATO Narrowband Waveform technology to an offshore defence wireless equipment manufacturer.

The technology rollout follows over 10 years of internal research and development into mobile ad-hoc network waveform solutions.

"It is fantastic to see over a decade's worth of research and development come to materialisation in this new MANET waveform technology," said Etherstack Director of Etherstack Defence and Waveforms Anna Squires.

The current contract remains under the company's financial materiality threshold and focuses strictly on initial technical evaluation, which may or may not lead to a future material contract award.

Etherstack stated that the milestone reflects long-term technical projects alongside government and industry partners across Europe, the United States, and Japan.

Following the announcement, the Etherstack share price was unchanged at $0.56.

The technology group specialises in designing and licensing wireless air interface protocol stacks for third-party defence and critical communications radio manufacturers.
