Emerald Resources secures final Dingo Range approval

Emerald Resources (ASX:EMR) achieved a milestone for its 100% owned Dingo Range Gold Project, receiving the final works approval from the Western Australian Government’s Department of Water and Environmental Regulation.

The definitive regulatory green light clears the path for the company to commence full-scale works development, covering the construction of a processing plant, power station, tailings storage facility, and critical ancillary infrastructure.

Emerald has already completed and commissioned the project’s accommodation camp, which is now prepared to house construction personnel and future operational staff.

Managing Director Morgan Hart expressed satisfaction with the approval, noting that the project is now fully permitted for both development and operations.

To ensure the momentum of the project, which is set to be entirely internally funded, Emerald has committed approximately $30 million to the purchase of two 8,000kW Metso SAG mills and a crushing circuit.

One mill is destined for Dingo Range, while the other will support the company’s Memot Gold Project in Cambodia.

These long-lead capital items are expected to be supplied within 12 to 13 months, a timeframe that will ultimately dictate the schedule for first gold production.

Parallel to these development efforts, drilling programmes will continue throughout 2026.

These activities are designed to support mineral resource updates, focusing on open-pit extensions and underground development potential as work towards a maiden ore reserve advances.
