Eclipse Metals (ASX:EPM) has advanced mobilisation activities for a 17-hole, 2,400-metre diamond drilling program at its 100%-owned Grønnedal Rare Earths Project in South Greenland.

The active field deployment follows an earlier expansion that saw the mineral resource estimate at Grønnedal increase to 208 million tonnes.

"This drilling program is designed to increase geological confidence in selected areas while testing the potential for further resource growth," said Eclipse Metals Executive Chairman Carl Popal.

The current phase involves two shipments to the Ivigtut landing area, bringing two diamond drilling rigs, camp machinery, and support gear, alongside updated regulatory field approvals with a newly appointed drilling contractor.

Following the announcement, the Eclipse Metals share price was unchanged at $0.012.

The Grønnedal deposit holds a 208-million-tonne resource enriched with neodymium, praseodymium, and strontium.

The company stated that the project is positioned to supply critical rare earth magnet minerals as international demand expands.
