Dynamic Metals (ASX:DYM) has commenced a diamond drilling program at its Cognac West gold prospect in Western Australia.

The strategic exploration initiative follows the identification of gold-copper mineralisation during previous reverse circulation drilling, with the current phase designed to test deeper extensions and provide high-quality structural data.

By utilising diamond core drilling, the company aims to gain a more precise understanding of the geological setting within this structurally complex corridor.

The core samples will allow geologists to map the orientation and nature of the mineralised structures more accurately than previous methods, potentially unlocking the site’s broader scale.

The program is supported by up to $175,000 in co-funding through the Exploration Incentive Scheme.

The grant underscores the geological potential of the Cognac West area and reduces the direct financial risk for Dynamic Metals as they pursue this high-value target.

As of early March, the drill rig is operational on-site.

The company expects this phase to improve its geological modelling, providing the groundwork for future resource assessments.
