Regulators commenced Federal Court proceedings against Dusk (ASX:DSK) over alleged safety breaches involving 29 button battery product lines.
The competition watchdog alleges that 25 product lines were supplied before mandatory safety testing was completed.
"We have not identified reports of harm to customers associated with these products," stated Dusk.
The allegations state that four product lines lacked required safety warnings and were voluntarily recalled in December 2024.
Following the announcement, the Dusk share price was down at $0.685.
The court proceedings also allege that the retailer breached a court-enforceable undertaking provided to the regulator in 2023.
Dusk stated that all 25 product lines subsequently passed relevant safety tests when they were completed.
