Perth-based explorer Duketon Mining (ASX:DKM) launched its maiden reverse circulation drilling campaign at the Boodanoo Gold Project, marking a milestone in the company’s regional exploration strategy.

Located approximately 80km northeast of Paynes Find and in close proximity to the Kirkalocka Gold Project, the site has become a primary focus following the identification of substantial geochemical anomalies.

The current program is designed to test beneath several large-scale targets where +10ppb gold contours extend over a strike length exceeding 650m.

The anomalies, which reach widths of up to 190m, are situated adjacent to outcropping gabbro formations.

On a broader scale, anomalous results have been mapped across a total strike of approximately 2km, suggesting gold mineralisation potential within the project area.

Operations are currently focused on a planned 1,000m program consisting of up to 20 individual drill holes.

Management has indicated that once the Boodanoo campaign concludes, the drill rig is scheduled to mobilise immediately to the Barlee Project to begin further exploratory work.

Investors can expect initial data from this Boodanoo program in the coming months, with assay results anticipated within four to six weeks following the completion of the program and the subsequent dispatch of samples.
