DroneShield (ASX:DRO) has announced plans to combine its DroneSentry detection platform with AIM Defence's Fractl high-power laser technology.
The company stated that its existing radio-frequency products remain effective against many drone threats.
“Expanding our ecosystem with AIM Defence’s high-power laser gives customers another defeat option within that same open architecture,” said DroneShield Chief Technology Officer Angus Harris.
The two businesses will engage selected military and government end-users to demonstrate the combined capabilities in mission-critical settings.

The partnership targets growing global demand for directed-energy equipment to blind sensors or burn through incoming targets.
Both companies intend to build an interoperability framework that supports future customer deployment opportunities.
