Dreadnought Resources begins drilling at Metzke’s Find
- Dreadnought Resources has commenced a 3810-metre drilling campaign at Metzke's Find.
- The exploration programme did not immediately alter the company's equity valuation.
- The campaign supports the corporate strategy to add near-term gold production ounces.
Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) has commenced a 3,810-metre drilling programme at Metzke’s Find to expand its 24,900-ounce gold resource.
The campaign follows a recent resource update that established an average grade of 5.2 grammes per tonne of gold.
"This programme aims to add ounces and further upgrade the high resource as we advance Metzke’s Find towards studies, approvals and production," said Dreadnought Resources Managing Director Dean Tuck.
The company stated the programme includes 23 reverse circulation holes and 15 diamond holes over three to four weeks.
Assay results are expected in September and October, and following the announcement, the Dreadnought Resources share price was unchanged at $0.014.
The drilling programme forms a core part of the broader corporate exploration strategy known as finding more gold faster.
Upon completion of the work, the company plans to use the updated data to support open cut and underground mining studies.
