Crypto Hack Reignites Regulatory Debate
A $6 billion crypto hack is putting digital-asset security back in the spotlight. Former CFTC chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo, known as "CryptoDad", argues the attack exposed vulnerabilities at an individual firm rather than a failure of underlying blockchain technology. He is also calling for the US to take a more aggressive approach to state-sponsored cyberattacks. He joins Bloomberg Businessweek Daily to discuss the fallout from the hack and why he believes prediction markets should be regulated federally by the CFTC rather than by individual states.
