Coventry Group delivers $5.4M quarterly EBITDA
- Coventry Group's unaudited earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 87% year-on-year to $5.4 million.
- Group sales increased 1.3% compared to the prior corresponding period to reach $100.1 million.
- Management attributed the earnings surge to lower operating costs and a 50 basis point margin expansion.
Coventry Group (ASX:CYG) reported unaudited Q1 FY27 sales of $100.1 million and a pre-AASB16 EBITDA of $5.4 million.
Operating expenses fell by $1.5 million, 3.9% lower than the prior corresponding period despite continued inflationary pressure on wages, rents and other costs.
Within business divisions, trade distribution sales grew 6.9% to $62.5 million, while fluid system sales fell to $37.6 million due to project timing.
The latest result marks the business's third consecutive quarter of EBITDA expansion following a near-breakeven performance in Q2 FY26.
Following the announcement, the Coventry Group share price was unchanged at $0.42.
The company stated that the cost savings programme and ongoing margin expansion will help offset broader inflationary pressures in rents and wages.
