Core Energy Minerals (ASX:CR3) has executed an earn-in agreement to acquire up to a 51% interest in the Nova Uranium Joint Venture in Namibia.

The agreement covers exploration licences EPL3669 and EPL3670, located in the Erongo Region near established uranium deposits.

The deal involves partnering with Reptile Mineral Resources and Exploration, a subsidiary of Deep Yellow (ASX:DYL), alongside Nova Energy (Africa) and Sixzone Investments.

Core Energy Minerals Managing Director Tony Greenaway said, "The Nova Joint Venture Project with uranium heavyweights Deep Yellow and Nova Energy represents a transformational expansion of Core Energy Minerals’ footprint in the world class uranium mining jurisdiction of Namibia and is a vote of confidence in the company’s uranium technical expertise."

Core Energy Minerals stated that the earn-in will be fulfilled through staged on-ground exploration expenditure across the two granted exploration licences.

Following the announcement, the Core Energy Minerals share price was unchanged at $0.008.

The Nova Joint Venture tenure sits directly adjacent to the company's existing Gemsbok and Oryx uranium exploration licences.

The consolidated land holding provides immediate drilling targets at the Barking Gecko prospect alongside a broader pipeline of regional exploration assets.
